Marinsoft PartDrop

The Marinsoft PartDrop technology is used to create, distribute and access web-based content for use in Autodesk's AutoCAD®, Autodesk® Architectural Desktop and Autodesk® Building Systems software products.

Architects and building engineers benefit by conveniently dragging intelligent, configurable building product content from manufacturer web sites directly into their CAD drawings. Manufacturers benefit by easily creating and maintaining these web sites using Marinsoft's PartDrop Author program.

However, the most significant benefit of all is the PartDrop-enabled collaboration between building professionals and manufacturers. By empowering building professionals to easily incorporate manufacturer's products in their drawings, PartDrop ensures that these specifications can be leveraged throughout the design, construction and facility management lifecycle.

At any time during this project cycle, PartDrop can extract a product report from the drawing and format it for display in a web browser. This report can be shared with suppliers to ensure that products are accurately specified and delivered in a timely manner. It can also be used by manufacturers in other business processes such as product submissions, sales automation or inventory planning.
