Marinsoft PartDrop is a "soup-to-nuts" solution that streamlines the process of
creating, managing and leveraging web-based CAD content while enabling both building design professionals and
manufacturers to realize the full potential of digital building product information.
The solution consists of the following components:
- Marinsoft PartDrop Author
An application that automates the creation and maintainance of XML/DWG-based PartDrop catalogs that
contain detailed product specifications and options and deliver content that is optimized
for use with Autodesk's AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop and Building Systems programs.
- Marinsoft PartDrop Server
A web server environment that works together with a PartDrop catalog to
dynamically construct browser navigation controls, configure product specific
i-drop packages and serve them to visitors to the site.
- Marinsoft PartDrop Plugin
A modular applet available for download from a content provider's web
site that streamlines the product configuration process and provides additional
product-related functionality throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that the
content provider's products are accurately specified.
