• After initial configuration of PartDrop Server, the PartDrop Catalogs generated by PartDrop Author are immediately deployable to the Internet with no additional web development effort required.
• The dynamic nature of the PartDrop Catalog web site allows instant modification of existing product entries and insertion of new product entries using PartDrop Author, again with no web site retooling required.
• The PartDrop Plugin extends the generic i-drop experience with enhanced behavior that highlights the features and benefits of the downloaded content. It also embeds product specifications and user-input options within the CAD building model for downstream use such as scheduling, bill of materials and interactive collaboration with product manufacturers and suppliers.
• The scalable and nonproprietary nature of XML ensures that the Marinsoft PartDrop framework can easily interact with other information management systems such as specification generation, sales order or inventory management systems.
